After School Programs
FLYRS is partnering with local schools to provide sustainable after school programs as part of our commitment to eliminate barriers to cycling and ensure more kids have access to our programs.
This year we will offer 3rd-5th grade programs at Puente De Hózhó, Leupp, and Marshall Elementary schools. You can register for these programs below. Please note that registration does not guarantee a spot in the program. There will be a selection process to ensure we fulfill our mission to have a diverse group and are creating more access to FLYRS programs. If you are attending Puente or Marshall, please only register if you aren't currently enrolled in a FLYRS program to ensure more diversity in our programs. We also began our bicycle maintenance program at Summit High School this year. Students are learning to assess, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on bicycles of all types. A portion of the bikes repaired are donated to local youth, while others are provided to the club participants for transportation to work and school. Future participants can look forward to possible internships at local bike shops once they've completed the FLYRS program. We are always looking to partner with schools who want to help us empower youth through cycling. Please contact our School Program Manager Chris Eaves if you would like to have a program at your school. After School Fall 2022 Registration |
